Make a Wedding Website!
Getting married? Why not have a wedding website so guests can peruse photos, be directed to the registry, and get directions and details?
My partner and I are tying the knot this summer, so I made a wedding website using WordPress for our guests. This was just a little free website, but it helps to see how much you can still do if you’re on the cheap!
Attributes You Might Include
Parallax viewing – This is a fancy feature where the background moves slower than the foreground, making the pictures be slowly revealed as you scroll, creating a sort of 3D effect.
RSVP – you can pretty much do anything you want with a contact form. Your guests can enter text, numbers, select from drop down menus, or select from multiple choice menus. The RSVP is emailed to an address of your choice.
Donation button via Paypal – you don’t want to have guests input their credit card info on a free site like this, that’s a whole different animal. However, let a third party do it for you like Paypal. That way guests can give online at their whim, in case they’d rather not go old school and write a check.
Share buttons – let guests share particular pages on their social media platforms.
Interactive Google map – for easy navigation, this map can work with the guests device to get GPS directions immediately. Good for planning ahead or if they get lost on the way!
Mobile responsive sizing – site formatting and photos resize themselves automatically to look good on any device!
I can do all this for you if you’d rather focus on planning the rest of your big event, just contact me!
